The story is about a young man rushing to get to the love of his life on her wedding day to object. He sped across a long distance through winding roads and across train tracks in his Volkswagon Jetta so the wedding could be stopped. He got stuck behind every obstacle which caused him to shriek in distress then continue his trek to the church. The bride looked happy to be married to her fiancé until the awkward interruption.

How: Travels with Jetta across state to stop wedding.
Julian Baker rushes to get to his best friend Brooke Davis before vows are exchanged. Glancing at his watch, Julian speeds through the countryside and into the city before making it to the chapel, where he is greeted with blank stares.
Julian promised Brooke to make it on time, which left everyone disappointed with his no show. Some were angry, some were sad, and others just felt the awkward in the moment.
Stuck behind trains and cars Julian screams in distress.
"I couldn't let Brooke down" Julian said. "But life sure wasn't making it easy"
Brooke definitely couldn't hide her shame as Julian barged in to the chapel.
"I begged him to leave early." Brooke said. "This day was so special to me, he shouldn't have even come inside."
But no one felt more anger than fiancé Lucas Scott.
"He ruined our wedding. Friend or not, Brooke didn't deserve this." Lucas scolds.
In an attempt to please Brooke, dad John Davis even took the effort to push back the wedding 10 minutes.
"I kept the peace hoping maybe Julian would show up on time, but after staring at my watch for what seemed like a lifetime, I realized this wedding had to go forward." John Davis said.
Feeling defeat, Julian stood unable to speak in the foyer of the church.
"I didn't know what to do, all I could do was apologize and continue to support my friends no matter what." Julian said.
However, things look like they may pick up from here.
"He's my best friend."Brooke said, "We must always forgive our friends."

Preview Assignment
1. In the tutorials that I watched and read, I learned how to create an iMovie and edit it. They showed how to start a new movie, place clips in it, edit it, and save it. You can change the length of each clip and add transitions, effects, and a title.
In the example, the woman added lightning and a title with a colored background. You can edit each of these things to make it how you want. Some examples are fairy dust, ghost trail, lighting, etc. These effects can be subtle or change your whole story.
2. I knew you could choose a theme and that there were multiple clips that combined to make a final project. I used iMovie for the iPad for a project in eighth grade.
3. I learned you can add effects or a title and change the time for each clip.
4. I am concerned about finding a original yet interesting topic for the project. I also hope the iMovie will be easy to use and not confusing.
5. I am confident that I will be able to use an appropriate amount of effects and transitions without overpowering the story.
6. Some ideas I have would be focusing on my Grandmas illness or something more simple like a typical family weekend to the lake, park, etc.

Portfolio Analysis

to show difference and not have a similar portfolio. They also needed a common
theme yet with diversity. They must have a good use of editing.
Part 2
1 .I agree with the judges on the photo of a girl rejoicing her tennis win. You can see the act of happiness without even having to see her face. the photo also has simplicity and includes the girl and her tennis racket which is all that is needed.
2. I do not agree with the judges opinion on the photo of a girl in an orange jersey jumping in the air. They state that the photo is basic, but I disagree. The photo shows a great amount of emotion and rules of composition including rule of thirds.

Who: Ashley Smith
What: Won Student of the Month

Where: Ted Selvidge High School, Austin, TX
Why: Dedication brings her to victory
How: Grades and extra curricular activities
Ashley Smith takes home a great Ted Selvidge High tradition and becomes April's Student of the Month during an election held in the courtyard.
Smith's rode to success was influenced by her parents, but most importantly her homeroom teacher. She can't only thank determination though, Smith also claims to being on Silver Stars and taking two AP classes.
Still striving for success, Smith believes there is always room to improve.
"It has given me the push to work harder" Ashley Smith states of the victory.
But her win was definitely not dull. Smith was presented the award in front of family, friends, and staff.
"I felt a rush of excitement!" Smith boasts.
The road to the award was anything but easy. Ashley places herself in higher level AP classes.
"I take two, English and Geography" Smith says proudly.
Afterward she spent the night celebrating the honor with some family fun.
"I went to Double Dave's Pizza with my family, it was great." The young student says with a smile.
However this excitement might be short lived. Smith has low hopes for adding this to her college transcript.
"It's an honor, but it won't get me ahead in life."
The future seems bright for young student who already has plans of success.
"I want to graduate from college and get a good job."
